He needs them. They need hymn.
Actor Geno Segers has played a gang leader, a part Sasquatch, a lion and more. Now Segers latest role is Dwayne in the NBC musical comedy Perfect Harmony; a lovable singer, trying to build his confidence while also in love with his best friends soon-to-be ex-wife (Anna Camp).
Named a Breakout Star by The Hollywood Reporter, Geno has been making a name for himself in the entertainment industry through the dynamic characters he has brought to life on screen and stage. Standing at 6 feet 3 inches tall, Genos approachable and gracious demeanor, imposing presence, and his signature deep voice have positioned him as one to watch, and he isnt slowing down anytime soon.
His first taste in the entertainment world came after a friend suggested he audition for some voice over work, noting his incredibly deep, bass voice might prove successful on the radio and in commercials. Geno first auditioned for voice-ads for a radio station in New Zealand, his voice gained him attention enough to attract an agents ear.
Now hes starring opposite Bradley Whitford and Anna Camp in Perfect Harmony as Dwayne, a man with a voice of gold who trying to find myself, build his confidence and move on from being in love with his bestfriends soon-to-be ex wife.
While Segers is superb as the lovable and supportive teddy bear, when auditioning for the role, Segers saw himself as the future sheriff of this little town or the goat farmer. Fortunately with the magic of television, costume and the proper haircut, he transformed into the Dwayne fans know and love.
